REVIEW OF THE Ableton TEMPLATE PROJECT
Inside The Project Moby, BLONDISH, Kiko Franco - Natural Blues Ableton Remake
1) Bass

The main Bass is created in Serum 2 using a simple saw wave, playing the notes A#, G#, C#, D#. Strong Kickstart sidechain to the kick and automated low-frequency filtering create contrast and development from the pre-drop into the drop. In the drop, it is complemented by a Mid Reese preset, also made in Serum 2, with the low end removed, allowing it to work without sidechain. Its more complex structure combines three waveforms with detuning, creating a wide, harmonically rich and constantly shifting sound.
2) Drums

The drums follow a classic four-on-the-floor structure, enhanced with tonal congas, an additional Perc layer with a rhythmic conga pattern, and syncopated percussion accents before every third beat. Together, these elements add extra groove and movement to the entire drum section, with the long reverb tails adding further depth. Built entirely from samples, the drum section also works as an excellent Template for further production.
3) Chords / Synth

The instrumental layers, built with Serum 2 presets — Vox Chord, Vox, Pad, Synth and Pad — play the chord progression Bbm → Gb → Db → Ebm, creating a wide and deep harmonic foundation across the stereo field and frequency spectrum. A classic house piano and atonal bottle-like accents, also created in Serum 2, add extra groove and house swing, working naturally with the percussion and complementing the drum groove. The AfroPluck preset, playing a single note with shifted accents, adds subtle tension and movement to the arrangement.
4) Full Project

This project is a great Progressive House template, showing how multiple subtle layers can work together to create a cohesive groove and complement each other without any single instrument dominating the mix.
All TMA projects and templates are built with a clean, professional and consistent arrangement, allowing you to quickly understand the structure and explore every production element — MIDI, notes, chords, Serum presets, samples, sound design techniques, automation and mixing approaches.
