1) Bass
The main bass outlines the harmonic progression F# → G# → D#m using the Bass Main preset in Serum 2, combining square and saw waves with Kickstart sidechain against the kick. Its high frequencies are intentionally subdued, allowing the bass to sit tightly with the kick without masking it. Additional accents from the Bass Bitcrush preset, also created in Serum 2, add groove and variation to the overall bass line.
2) Drums
The drums follow a classic four-on-the-floor groove, complemented by additional percussion accents that add variation to the rhythm. A Top Loop fills the gaps in the groove, creating a dense layer of high-frequency percussion and keeping the overall drum section full and consistent. Crashes help accentuate different sections of the arrangement and emphasize key transitions.
3) Instruments
The main harmony is carried throughout most of the track by a Pluck Pad, providing a consistent pad-like foundation across the arrangement. It is complemented by a range of melodic accents, including Flute, Lead and Rhodes, which enter in different sections as short melodic phrases and add a retro character, making the arrangement feel more organic and lively.
