Inside The Project HUGEL & Bryson Tiller - Temptation  Ableton Remake

1) Chords / Synth

Three Serum 2 presets — Piano 1, Piano 2 and Pad — play the chord progression Bb → Dm → Gm → Am. Filter automation and movement throughout the arrangement create a deep LoFi character that glues the entire mix together. The Chords preset, built in Serum 2 with simple saw waves, a pluck-style accent envelope and a wide stereo ping-pong delay, works both as a rhythmic element interacting with the percussion and as an additional layer supporting the harmonic foundation of the track.

2) Bass

The main Bass, created in Serum 2, follows the root notes of the harmony with strong sidechain processing. With a controlled low-end and no dominant high-frequency content or sharp accents, it blends naturally with the kick, working not as a separate instrument but as a harmonic extension of the groove. In the drops, an additional Mid Bass layer appears, using its envelope to create soft musical accents on the first beat, adding more organic movement and development to the track.

3) Drums

The drums are built around a classic four-on-the-floor groove, supported by a group of percussion accents including 4 Perc, toms, rim and clave-style congas, creating a smooth and danceable rhythmic foundation that flows throughout the entire track. An Orchestral Drum layer with a large Hall reverb on every first beat anchors the loop and creates a feeling of continuous groove and movement.

4) Full Project

The arrangement shows how carefully placed percussion and subtle background elements create a rich, organic groove. Small details add movement and life throughout the track, proving that even minimal elements can strongly shape the overall feel.

All TMA projects and templates are built with a clean, professional and consistent arrangement, allowing you to quickly understand the structure and explore every production element — MIDI, notes, chords, Serum presets, samples, sound design techniques, automation and mixing approaches.
