Inside The Project David Guetta - Hey Mama ft Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha & Afrojack Ableton Remake
1) Bass

The Bass preset in Serum 2 delivers a classic 808-style sound with softened high frequencies, creating a smooth and consistent low-end foundation. Strong sidechain to the kick keeps the groove clean and allows the Bass to fill the entire low-frequency range without overwhelming the Mix.
2)Instruments

The main melody in the pre-drops is driven by the Tuba preset in Serum 2 and the Bream sampler, while Brass 2, Horns, Synth, and Trumpets add pad-like accents following the Em → C → Am → D chord progression. Together they create a powerful, stadium-style atmosphere and gradually build tension. Brass Lead 4 adds a rhythmic upper-frequency line in the verses, while multiple instruments repeat similar parts with changing timbres across the Arrangement, keeping the track constantly evolving.
3)Drums & FX

The drums add hip-hop-style rhythmic accents, driving the verses and working closely with the 808 Bass. An additional Perc pattern gives the groove a more organic feel and subtle development. The FX section combines SFX Riser, Rev Noise, Noise SC, and Crowd samples to build tension, reinforce the stadium atmosphere, and emphasize transitions, pre-drops, and other key moments throughout the Arrangement.
4)Full Project View

The Arrangement demonstrates how tension itself can become the main driving force of a track. With relatively short drops and extended build-up sections, the project relies on evolving instruments, FX, and rhythmic elements to maintain energy and anticipation throughout.
All TMA projects and templates feature a clean, professional arrangement, making it easy to understand the structure and explore MIDI, chords, Serum Presets, samples, sound design, automation and mixing techniques.
