Inside The Project Colyn & Fahlberg - Closure  Ableton Remake

1) Drums

The drums use a classic four-on-the-floor groove, keeping the rhythm clean and minimalistic while leaving space for the leads, pads, and synths. A break-style transition before the drop is built entirely from percussion and drum Samples, making it easy to edit and adapt for your own production.

2) Bass

The main Bass is created in Serum 2 with extensive automation, following the harmony Dm → C → Gm → Bb. A deep Bass Tonal complements it as a low-end pad, filling the lower frequencies without unnecessary high-end content. Both main bass layers are heavily sidechained with Kickstart. An FM Bass creates a sub-heavy FM-style rise before the first verse.

3) Instruments

The instruments are divided into three main groups: Pads, Synths, and Leads. Multiple pad layers create the harmonic foundation, with different sounds introduced across the Arrangement to add movement and progression. The Synths combine a steady repeating tonal arpeggio, which builds tension, with tonal percussive accents that reinforce the groove without relying on additional drums. The Leads complete the melodic section with expressive synth accents, adding variation and helping the entire melodic groove evolve throughout the track.

4) Full Project

The full project clearly demonstrates how layered instruments, precise accents, and extensive automation can create a constantly evolving and professional arrangement while keeping every section balanced and easy to follow.

All TMA projects and templates feature a clean, professional arrangement, making it easy to understand the structure and explore MIDI, chords, Serum Presets, samples, sound design, automation and mixing techniques.
