Inside The Project Calvin Harris, Kasabian - Release The Pressure Ableton Remake
1) Bass

The bass follows the root notes of the chord progression Gm → Eb → F → Cm → Eb. In the intro and breakdowns, a pluck-style Serum 2 Mid Bass preset is used, with filter automation opening and closing the sound to build tension and create a brighter transition into the drop. In the drop, it switches to a Serum 2 Low Bass, adding a more powerful low-end groove with notes placed on the offbeat.
2) Drums

The drum section follows a classic House rhythm built around a steady four-on-the-floor kick, with groovy snares and additional percussion adding movement throughout the arrangement. In the pre-drop break, the kick switches to an Electro-style pattern, supported by a snare playing two different notes. Combined with the LoFi Perc loop, this creates a distinctive broken-beat feel and provides a strong contrast before the main groove returns.
3) Chords / Synth

The main melody is built with the Melody Serum 2 preset, using a basic saw wave, a short pluck-style filter envelope and effects mapped to macros. Automation of these controls continuously reshapes the sound throughout the track, allowing a single instrument to evolve across different sections while keeping the melody recognizable. A high-frequency lead with saturation, strong sidechain and filter movement adds extra groove and emotion during the pre-drops.
4) Full Project

The arrangement effectively uses rhythmic changes, breaks and fills to build tension through the pre-drops and drive each drop forward.
