1) Bass

The Bass preset in Serum 2 plays the main note G in a classic techno 16th-note rhythm, with the first two 16ths of each beat left empty to enhance the sidechain feel and groove with the kick. Kickstart completely cuts the bass tails, leaving a clean space for the kick, while automated low-pass and high-pass filters keep the bass pulse running and create smooth transitions into drops and breakdowns.

2) Melody

The main melody is built from two Serum 2 presets — Lead Raptor and Lead Raptor 2 — which alternate through macro automation, creating dynamics and groove through the shifted rhythm of the four-note melody: F, G, G#, A#. A group of two Stab layers creates a call-and-response effect with the melody while supporting the vocal in the drop. In the second half of the drop, the Synth Acid preset adds movement through its flanger, envelope shaping and Kickstart sidechain.

3) Drums

The drums use an extremely minimal four-on-the-floor techno groove, with no additional percussion or unnecessary accents, leaving the Bass and Instruments to provide the main movement throughout the track. The drum pattern stays supportive and unobtrusive, with only the introduction of hats and snare rolls adding movement, building tension and making the drops hit harder.
