Inside The Project Marsh - Too High  Ableton Remake

1) Bass

The main bass uses a Bass preset in Serum 2, following the chord movement E → F# → Ebm in the drops. Built from a simple saw wave with a fast pluck-style envelope and extensive processing inside Serum, it creates movement and variation alongside the shifted house groove. Smooth filter automation gradually brings the bass into the arrangement and helps shape its transitions.

2) Instruments

The main melody uses a Synth Pluck preset in Serum 2, playing a consistent pattern that adapts to the changing harmony of the bass and pads. Long filter and FX automation gradually changes its tone and builds tension, while extensive automation keeps the arrangement moving without major melodic changes. A Synth Acid preset adds extra groove and high-frequency movement.

3) Drums

The drums follow a clean four-on-the-floor groove with minimal extra elements, leaving space for the instruments to drive the movement. A Snare Roll adds build-ups into drops and bridges, while the wide, long Downsweep FX fills key transitions and complements the constant movement created by the instrument automation.

4) Full Project

A great example of a well-crafted Progressive House track, where layered instruments and extensive automation keep the arrangement constantly evolving. With detailed MIDI parts and a clear structure, this project also works as a practical template for further production.
